This year’s Cincinnati Home & Garden Show promises to be bigger and better than ever. If you haven’t attended recently, I think you’d be surprised at the size and scope. In addition to things you would expect to see….there’s a Garden Market retail area with everything from designer cupcakes to gentlemen’s cigars. Also, there are a number of seminars that might interest you. Then, of course there are the mega garden displays that will get you thinking about spring. If you want to go on Wednesday thru Friday, just give me a text/call at 513.739.3338 or email at email@example.com or tweet @distinct_patios. Would love to see you there!
This is the third year Rick has made this trip….always feeling like he takes away more than he gives. He’s really excited that daughter Rebecca and roommate Jessica were able to join the team this year. The local Mayan Families construction crew has already gotten the project out of the ground. So, with a good week of work, maybe the family will be able to move in soon. Here’s a little about their situation and the kind of difference you can make > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDFLdI0FRrI. If you’re interested in learning more, Rick would love to chat. He’ll even buy!
Here’s an animation showing the Louvered Roofs (AKA Adjustable Aluminum Louvered Canopy) we installed at Bayley Place Retirement Home in Delhi Township. This allows residents, confined to wheel chairs, to enjoy the outdoors….rain or shine! With a touch of a button, the louvers open and close.
Distinctive Patios is now an authorized dealer for Western Timber Frame Pergolas, Gazebos, Pavilions, Arbors and Trellisses. These beautiful structures use premium timbers, a unique dovetail corner system and a myriad of design options to frame truely distinctive outdoor spaces. Here’s a pic of our first installation and the product brochures.
Nearly 1200 mudders had a splash today in West Chester. Here are just a few snaps from today’s event…
Distinctive Patios will be one of the sponsors of the 1st. Annual Cincy Nation Mud Run to be held this Saturday, August 3rd in West Chester. Our crew has helped construct their “insane” obstacle course. Get dirty, burn calories, drink beer, eat food and have some fun!
Distinctive Patios is using new 3D design software to help our clients visualize improvements to their outdoor space. While we’ve been using 3D animations for a while now to help with the face-to-face design process, we can now turn a ‘walk through” (or should I say “fly through”) into a short concept video that we post on YouTube. This allows us to put our designs in context with your existing home or place of business….before you even think about writing a check. Check this out on our YouTube Channel to see for yourself.
This year’s Cincinnati Home & Garden Show is bigger and better than ever. After a few days off…it continues through Sunday. If you haven’t attended recently, I think you’d be surprised at the variety of the displays. In addition to things you would expect to see….there’s a Garden Market retail area with everything from designer cupcakes to gentlemen’s cigars. Also, there are a number of seminars that might interest you. Then, of course there are the mega garden displays that will get you thinking about spring. This year’s show runs on March 2-3 & 6-10 spanning the next two weekends. We have a limited number of free VIP passes for Wednesday thru Friday, March 6-8 (limit two while they last). Just let us know if you’d like to go. Distinctive Patios will have a double booth (1412 & 1414) featuring our innovative Louvered Roof Patio Cover and several new Unilock Hardscape products.
Photos from our mission trip to Panajachel Guatemala. This year we helped construct the second story addition to a small un-reinforced house. This will be the new home for a abused mom and her kids who has been living with grandma and more family downstairs. We also visited sponsored children and distributed food, clothing & shoes from Cincinnnati. Mayan Families is a very well run organization that is really making a real difference in peoples’ lives.
